DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES
Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a 2023 Paramount Pictures fantasy film based on the iconic tabletop roleplaying game. Working at Perception, I contributed to the development of screen graphics, logo treatment, map animation and transitions during the production phase. The work was developed as part of the broader visual design process for the film and did not make it into the final cut.
The logo treatment involved exploring multiple directions for how the title could be presented, experimenting with different lighting setups, surface textures and material qualities to find a look that felt grounded in the world of the film. Each variation pushed the balance between the fantasy aesthetic of the source material and the cinematic language of a modern blockbuster.
The map animation work focused on developing transitions that would carry the audience from an illustrated, stylized map view into live action footage. These sequences required thinking about how a flat, graphic world could dissolve convincingly into a photographic one, maintaining a sense of geography and momentum through the cut.
